Rava laddu

Rava laddu is a very crispy and tasty sweet which is easy to make. Also, It does not take much time for the entire preparation ( maximum half an hour). As it contains dry fruits and nuts, it can make you energetic :)

Ingredients:
Upma rawa/suji                                     -              2 cups
Grated coconut/Coconut powder           -              1 cup
Sugar                                                    -              1 ¾ cups
Caradamom powder                             -              2 teaspoons
Milk                                                      -              as required
Nuts(cashews, almonds)                        -              crushed into bits (about half a cup)
Raisins                                                  -              (optional) (10-12)

Method:

Deep fry the crushed nuts in ghee until they are slightly golden brown and put them aside.  In a similar fashion, deep fry raisins as well.
Now, take a big pan, and roast the rawa/suji in enough ghee. Keep stirring on a low-medium flame for about 10 min or until it turns a very light golden brown color. Now, add sugar and keep stirring for about 2-3 minutes. Add all the dry fruits, nuts and the caradamom powder and keep stirring. Now, turn off the flame and add enough milk so that you get the right consistency to make laddus.
A very important thing is to make the laddus, when this mixture is still warm. Because if it completely cools down, you won’t be able to make any laddus, as the mixture gets dry.
